April 26 & 27: 6 inch Nantucket Class with Karen Novak

I’m self-taught and have been teaching this highly protected craft nearly 25 years. As a CPA, I always sought a creative outlet. I had a home on Nantucket Island years ago and while sitting poolside with my children at the Sciasconset Golf Club, I was intrigued by a woman, not knitting or embroidering, she was weaving a Nantucket. Back in those days there was no internet on the island. Once I came off the island, I got on my computer and found a kit at GH Productions located in my home state of Kentucky. I still have that basket to this day, some 25 years later. I cherish this craft after developing an affinity for its use of simple earthly and God given components that given time and our own hands, can be created into an item of elegance and grace.  I hope you’ll experience the same joy I do while crafting your weaving.
